The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Colo. Francis
Deakins Six hundred pounds Current Money to be expended in
defraying one half of the Expence of examining, cutting, clearing
improving and keeping in repair a proposed Road from the Waters
of Potowmack River to the river Cheat, in Virtue of a Resolve of
the General Assembly of November Session 1784 for which he is to
account.

That the said Treasurer pay to Jeremiah T. Chase Esqr. Fifty
pounds Current Money for One Quarter's Salary as a Member of the
Council due in May last.

Ordered That Mr. John Shaw deliver to Colo. Francis Deakins
twelve soldiers Tents, the price to be ascertained and agreed on by the
said Mr. Shaw and Colo. Deakins, and in case of Disagreement a
Third Person to be called in to determine the price, and Mr. Deakins's
Receipt for the Tents with an Account of the valuation to be lodged
with this Board.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Clement Holly-
day, Nathaniel Ramsey and Gabriel Duvall Esquires late Commis-
sioners of Confiscated British Property One thousand, two hundred
and twenty four pounds Eleven shillings and Eight pence Current
Money, Balance of Account examined by the Auditor General and
allowed by this Board.

The Council adjourned 'till Monday Morning 11 o'clock.
