Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Thomas Smith
a soldier late of the 4th. Regim't. discharged in May 1781 Twelve
pounds, ten shillings Current Money due him for five months pay
from 1st. August 1780 to 1st. January 1781 per Certificate of the
Aud'r. General.
That the said Treasurer pay to Doctr. William Murray Eight
pounds, twelve shillings and ten pence specie agreeably to the "Act to
adjust the Debts due from this State" per Account passed by the
Aud'r. General the 1st. Instant.
His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire attended.
Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Stephen West
Six hundred pounds, Eight shillings and five pence specie agreeably
to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State" per Account
passed by the Auditor General the 30 May last and also the further
Sum of Twenty three pounds, six shillings and four pence specie
agreeably to the Act aforesaid per Certificates passed by the Auditor
General the 1st. May last.
That the said Treasurer pay to George Goldsmith Presbury Nine
pounds, two shillings and six pence current Money due him on two
Accounts passed by the Auditor General.
Commission issued to Edward Cockey, Edward Norwood and
James Gittings appointed a Court of Appeals in Baltimore County
John Merryman junr. having refused to Act.
The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.
Saturday 3d. June 1786

[p 138] Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to
Abraham Insley late a soldier of the 2d. Maryland Regiment Twelve
pounds ten shillings Current Money five Months pay due him from
1 August 1780 to 1 January 1781 per Certificate of the Auditor
General.
That the said Treasurer pay to George Goldsmith Presbury Ten
pounds, Eight shillings and three pence, Seven pounds fifteen shillings
and also the further Sum of Eight pounds, Eight shillings and ten
pence Current Money due him on three Accounts passed by the
Aud'r. General.
