The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

[p 135] Tuesday 30th. May 1786

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Amos
Alexander Eighty two pounds two shillings and eight pence specie
agreeably to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State" per
certificate passed by the Aud'r Gen'l, the 19 instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Colo. Henry Hollingsworth Two
pounds, six shillings and One penny specie agreeably to the "Act to
adjust the Debts due from this State" per Account passed by the
Aud'r. Gen'l, the 29th. instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Richard Johns for the use of Robert
Cable Seventeen pounds, ten shillings Current Money for the like sum
paid by him on two Special Warrants of 3d. April 1782 to affect the
Reserves in Baltimore County.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

Wednesday 31st. May 1786

The Council met.

Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer addresses the Board as follows.

Agents Office May 29th. 1786

Sir,

Charles Ridgely Esqr. has offered to sell the State one
hundred tons of Pig Iron delivered at Fells point, at Eleven pounds
per Tun paiable in three years bearing an Annual Interest of Eight
per Cent. I think the purchasing of this Iron may be of considerable
advantage to the State by shipping it to London. Mr. Wallace and
Company have offered to take it free of freight, if the Ships they
expect, arrive safe, and to allow me to draw Bills at Five pounds
