Journal of the State Council, 1784-1789. 103

Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to George Febus
Nine pounds, one shilling and Eight pence specie agreeably to the
"Act to adjust the Debts due from this State" per Account passed
by the Auditor General.

That the said Treasurer pay to Doctr. Charles Frederick Wiesen-
thall One thousand, three hundred and nineteen pounds, fourteen
shillings and eleven pence specie agreeably to the "Act to adjust the
Debts due from this State" per Account liquidated by the Auditor
General up to the 1st. April 1782.

That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Jones Esquire Fifty
pounds Current Money for One Quarter's Salary as One of the
Judges of the Court of Appeals, ending the 1st. Instant.

James Hollyday Attorney for George Rome, exhibits to this
Board an Account against James Chalrners amounting with Interest
to the 1st. of October 1784 to One thousand, five hundred and sixty
five pounds, which is examined and approved.

Peter Engels of Frederick County is hereby appointed Armourer
at Frederick Town in Virtue of the "Act to vest certain powers in the
Governor and the Council."

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow Morning 11 o'clock.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Thomas John-
son Junr. Paymaster of the Barges One hundred and ten pounds Cur-
rent Money to be applied in discharge of Claims against the Barges
and by him Accounted for.

His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire attended.

Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to William Lay-
man Executor of Rachel Forry Twenty eight pounds, two shillings
and eight pence specie agreeably to the "Act to adjust the Debts due
from this State" per Account passed by the Auditor General 10th.
November 1785.

That the said Treasurer pay to William Harwood Twenty five
pounds Current Money for One Quarter's Salary as Cl. of the House
of Delgates ending the 1st. Instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Solomon Wright Esquire One
hundred pounds Current Money for half a year's Salary as One of
the Judges of the Court of Appeals ending the 1st. Instant.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.
