able tobacco Then this Obligacon to be Void Otherwise to remaine
& be in full force & Vertue Which being read & heard the said Marke
& John by their Attorney aforesaid say that they have nothing to
say in barr of the action aforesaid, whereby the said Lord Propry
remaineth against the said Marke Cordea & John Addison thereof
undefended Therefore itt is considered by the Court here this day
to witt the Eleventh day of March in the fourth yeare of the Do-
minion of Charles Lord Baltemore &c Annoq Doni 1678 that the
said Lord Propry recover against the said Marke Cordea & John
Addison as well the aforesaid Sume of twenty one thousand Seven
hundred twenty two pounds of tobacco debt As also ffive hundred
& Sixty pounds of tobacco costs of suite, & the defendts in mercy &c

Thomas Wynne late of St Maryes County other-
wise called Thomas Wynne of the County of
St Maryes in the Province of Maryland was Sum-
Oned to Answer unto Christopher Rousby gentl

one of the Attorneys of the Provintiall Court of this Province who
prosecutes in this behalfe of a plea that he render unto the right
Honble Charles Lord Baron of Baltemore the quantity of foure
thousand fiue hundred Seventy & foure pounds of tobacco which to
him he oweth & unjustly detaineth
And whereupon the said Christopher Rousby who in this behalfe
prosecuteth cometh in his proper person & giveth the Court here to
understand & be advised That whereas the said Thomas Wynne the
twentieth day of December in the fortieth yeare of the Dominion
of Cecilius &c Annoq Doni one thousand Six hundred Seventy
one by his certaine writeing obligatory Sealed with the Seale of him
the said Thomas here in Court produced whose date is the same day
& yeare above written, did acknowledge himselfe to be holden &
firmly indebted unto his Excellency Charles Calvert Esqr Capt Genll
& chiefe Governor of the Province of Maryland (who is now the
right Honble Charles Lord Baron of Baltemore[)] in the full & just
quantity of foure thousand five hundred seventy & foure pounds of
good sound Mrchantable tobacco to be paid to the said Charles Cal-
vert (now Lord Baron of Baltemore as aforesaid) or to his certaine
