Lord Baron of Baltemore &c & in the yeare of our Lord One
thousand six hundred Seventy eight here prsent in Court in his
proper person Kenelm Cheseldyn Attorney Genll of the said Lord
Propry in this behalfe prosecuteth, & exhibitteth to the Court here
his certaine Information of debt against Vincent Lowe of Talbot
County in the Province of Maryland Esqr thereby giveing the Court
here to understand & be informed
That whereas the said Vincent Lowe the fifth day of October in
the first year of his said Lordpps dominion & in the yeare of our
Lord One thousand six hundred Seventy six did by this certaine
writeing obligatory sealed with the Seale of the said Vincent here
in Court produced whose date is the same day & yeare above written,
acknowledge himselfe holden & firmly bound unto Charles Lord
Baron of Baltemore now Lord & Propry of the Provinces of Mary-

land & Avalon &c: in The just Sume or quantity of two hundred
thousand pounds of good sound Mrchantable tobacco in caske to be
paid to the said Lord Baltemore (now Lord & Propry as aforesaid)
or his certaine Attorney his Execrs Admrs or assignes To the which
payment well & truely to be made & done he did binde himselfe his
heyres Execrs & Admrs firmly by those prsents Notwithstanding
which the said Vincent Lowe the said Sume of two hundred thou-
sand pounds of tobacco though often required to him the said Lord
Baltemore now Lord & Propry as aforesaid according to the tenour
of his said writeing obligatory hath not paid, but the same to him to
pay hitherto hath & still denies to pay to the damage of the said Lord
Propry two hundred & fifty thousand pounds of tobacco, whereupon
the said Kenelm Cheseldyn Attorney Genll aforesaid prayeth advice
in the prmisses And that the said Vincent may come here in Court
to answer in & upon the same
And the said Vincent by Robert Carvile his Attorney cometh &
defendeth the force & injury when &c & prayeth hearing the writing
aforesaid & itt is read unto him, he prayeth also hearing the Con-
dicon of the said writeing & itt is read unto him in these words The
condicon of this Obligacon is such That if the above bounden Vincent
Lowe doe well & truely serve the right Honble the Lord Propry of this
Province his heyres & Successors in the Office of high Sheriffe of the
