        Manoakin River last of July
        Anno. 1672.
      iforty two Deare Skynns.
        One hundred Eighty Eight muske
        Rat skynns
      Twenty foure Racoone Coates.


       At ye same place the 24th of August last.
          nineteene Minke skynns
          foure Racoone Coates
          One bundle of Racoone skynns
          Seaven Deare skynns
          Eight yrds of Red Matchcoate cloth
          Two blew Coates
          One peece of Matchcoate Cloth
          One Pewter Pype
          sixteene quills
          foure Dozen of Glasses
          One halfe Dozen of Trad
           ing Knives
          Ten Jewes Harpes
          Nine bundles of wt peake
          thirteene of black ditto
          one pound of Red Lead.

        Arrested his Sloope wch he Confessed he Traded in for ye said
       skynns & severall times went out of this Province with his said
       Sloope without making Entry of what Exported Tho Jones.

        To his Excellency The Capt Genrall of this Province of Mary- p. 512
       land &c.
        The humble peticion of Richard Ackworth of Somrset County
       planter. Humbly showeth.
        That whereas Capt Thomas Jones of this County of Somrset
       about the beginning of August in the 41th yeare of the Dominion
       of the Right hono :b1e Caecilius &c over this Province of Maryland
       Annoque Domini 1672 made his Repayer to yor petrs house (in yor
       petrs absence) with some others in his Company, and the said
       Thomas Jones desired yor PetTs wife to let him have some syder wch
       yor petrs wife did accordingly, the said Jones Remaining from the time
       he came wch was about Tenn a clock in ye morning of the day he
       came untill Early the next morning at wch time the said Jones got
       up not making any that did belong to my family Acquainted, Then
       & there did illegally Ransack seize take & Carry away forty Three
       Drest deare skynns, One hundred Eighty odd muskrat skynns,
       Twenty ould Racoone Match coates and two beare skynns and them
       put on board yor petrs Sloope, the wch sloope he also made seizure of,
       and both the goods aforesayd with the Sloope carryed away to the
       Landing of Mr Randall Revell, and there brake up ye Cabbin Dore
       of yor petrs Sloope which was fast locked, and tooke out of ye said
       Cabbin a pcell of shot the said Jones not giving an accompt to any
       of my family wherefore he made seizure of the foregoing skynns
       nor Sloope, Yor petrs Sloope being at his owne landing & his wife
