                   Came William Meekin of Brittons Bay. and Desired that his
                 marke might be Recorded. which is as foll. vizt,
                   The left Eare underkeelt the Right eare Overkeeld and a hole
                 underneath the overkeele

              p. 47  Know all men by these presents that I Jonathan Seybry of Wye
                 River in the Province of maryland Gentl. Doe make Ordeine and
                 Constitute my ifreind John Walley of Boston in New England my
                 true & Law full Attorney for me & in my name and for my use,
                 To Aske Demand Receive of any Person or Persons in New Eng
                 land any sume or sumes of money goods or mtchandizes. or from
                 their heyres Executrs Admints or assignes whether due now or that
                 may be due, either by bill booke or by Contract, or any way or
                 meanes whatsoeur, and upon the non payment thereof, the said
                 Debtors or either of their Executrs Adminrs or assignes and in my
                 name to sue Arrest Imprison implead & Prosecute for ye same, and
                 upon such suit to proceed to Judgment & Execution. and therupon
                 the said Debtors or either of their Executrs or assignes in Prison
                 to hold and keepe untill payment thereof be made, with all Costs
                 & damages susteined & to be susteined by occasion of deteyneing
                 the same, and uppon payment of the same, the sayd Debtors or
                 either of their Executrs Administrators or assignes forth of Prison
                 to discharge and Acquitt and Accquittances for the same or any
                 part thereof for me & in my name to make scale & Deliver, and also
                 to doe per forme & Execute and euty Law full & Reasonable Act &
                 thing whatsoever both for obteyneing & discharging of the same, as
                 shall be needfull to be done. Giueing and by these prsents graunting
                 unto my said Attorney my full & absolute power in the premisses
                 Ratifying and Confirmeing all & whatsoeur my said Attorney shall
                 Lawfully doe or cause to be done in & about the premisses, by vertue
                 of these prseflts In witnesse whereof I haue hereunto set my hand
                 and seale the Twenty fifth day of May in the yeare of our Lord
                 One thowsand six hundred seaventy one, I doe further giue &
                 graunt to my said Attorney power, Attorney or Attorney, under
                 him to make and the same againe, to Revoake, this being Added
