On Motion, Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow in the
Afternoon, take into Consideration the Petition of St. Anne's Parish,
which was referred from last Session to this Session.

The Petition of sundry Parishioners of King and Queen Parish
in St. Mary's County was read the second Time and granted, and
Leave given to bring in a Bill pursuant to the Prayer thereof. Or-
dered, That M.^r Bond, M.^r Barries, M.^r Key, and M.^r Reeder, do
prepare and bring in the same.

The Bill, entitled, An Act for more effectually preventing the
buying and selling of Offices; and the Bill, entitled, An Act relating
to the Office of Chancellor; were severally read the second Time,
passed, and sent to the Upper House by M.^r Johnson, M.^r Chase,
M.^r Tyler, M.^r So. Wright and M.^r Richardson.

George Steuart, Esq from the Upper House, delivers to M.^r

Speaker the Paper Bills, N.^o 3, 4, 5, severally indorsed; "By the
Upper House of Assembly, April 7, 1774: The ingrossed Bill,
whereof this is the Original, read and assented to.

William Hayward, Esq from the Upper House, delivers to M.^r
Speaker, the Bill, entitled, An Act to repeal Part of an Act to en-
courage the destroying of Wolves, Crows, and Squirrils, in Balti-
more County, thus indorsed; "By the Upper House of Assembly,
April 8, 1774: Read the first and second Time by an especial Order
and Will pass.

Which was read here and passed for ingrossing.
M.^r Funk hath Leave of Absence for a few Days.

The Bill, entitled, An Act for the Relief of Insolvent Debtors,
was read the second Time, passed and sent to the Upper House, with
the ingrossed Bill, N.^o 6, and the Paper Bill thereof, by M.^r Beall
and M.^r T. Wright.
