And the Bill, entitled, An Act for abolishing June County Courts,
thus indorsed, "By the Upper House of Assembly, April 4, 1774:
Read the first Time and ordered to lie on the Table.

By the Upper House of Assembly, April 7, 1774: Read the second
Time and will pass with the following Amendments Viz. Strike
out the Word, "Seven" in the two last Lines of the Continuing
Clause, and instead thereof insert the Word "three."

Which said Indorsements wese severally read here, and the
Amendment proposed to the last mentioned Bill was agreed to,
and the Bill passed "or ingrossing.
M.r Weems appeared in the House.
On Motion, Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill re-
lating to the publick Roads in Anne-Arundel, Baltimore, and Fred-
erick Counties; and that M.r Johnson, M.r Chase, M.r J. Hall, M.r
Worthington, M.r Griffith, M.r Beatty, M.r Funk, M.r Ridgely, M.r
Deye, M.r Tolly, and M.r Ridgely Son of John, do prepare and bring
in the same.
The House adjourns till 3 O'Clock.

The Bill, entitled, An Act for the Relief of sundry Inhabitants
of Patapsco Lower Hundred in Baltimore County, was read the sec-
ond Time by an especial Order, passed, and sent to the Upper House,
with the ingrossed Bills, N.o 3, 4. and the Paper Bills thereof by
M.r Deye and M.r Ridgely.
M.r Parran brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker, a Bill, entitled,
An Act empowering the Justices of Calvert County, to levy on the
taxable Persons of Christ-Church Parish in the said County, the
Quantity of Tobacco therein mentioned, for the Purpose of finish-
ing and compleating their Parish Church.
Which was read the first Time and ordered to lie on the Table.
M.r Ridgely Son of John brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker a
Bill, entitled, An Act to repeal Part of an Act to encourage the
destroying of Wolves, Crows and Squirrils.
Which was read the first and second Time by an especial Order,
passed, and sent to the Upper House with the ingrossed Bill, N.o 5,
and the Paper Bill thereof, by M.r Tolly, and M.r Ridgely Son
of John.
