The said Bill was read throughout and committed for Amend-
ments.

M.r Ridgely appeared in the House.
The Petition brought from the Upper House this Forenoon by
William Hayward, Esq was read. Ordered, That the same be re-
ferred to the Consideration of a Committee, and that they do ex-
amine the Matter thereof, and report the same as it shall appear
to them to the House; and M.r Griffith, M.r Funk, and M.r Beall,
are appointed a Committee accordingly, and they have Power to
send for Persons, Papers, and Records.
The House adjourns till To-morrow Morning 9 O'Clock.

Saturday, April 2, 1774.
The House met.
All Members present as on Yesterday except M.r T. Wright, who
left the House without Leave, and M.r Griffith, M.r Aq. Hall, and
M.r Lloyd.
The Proceedings of Yesterday were read.
M.r Key and M.r Beatty appeared in the House.
M.r Contee hath Leave of Absence.
M.r Beall brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker the following
Report.
By the Committee appointed to enquire into the Facts set forth
in the Petition of Benjamin Harris of Frederick County, April
2, 1774.
Your Committee having examined the Deed mentioned in the
aforesaid Petition, beg Leave to report, That the same does not
