Ordered, That the said Speech and Message be read a Second Time.
Ordered, That M.r Hollyday, M.r E. Tilghman, M.r M. Tilghman,
M.r Hayward, M.r Ringgold, and M.r Dickinson, do prepare and
bring in an Address to his Excellency, in Answer to his Speech.
It appearing to this House, that M.r Thomas Jenings, a Member
for Frederick County, has accepted of the Office of Attorney General
since the last Session of Assembly,
Resolved, That his Seat is thereby vacated, and M.r Speaker is
desired to acquaint M.r Jenings, that he is dismissed from any further
Attendance; which he accordingly did.
Ordered, That M.r Speaker do issue his Warrant to the Secretary
of this Province, requiring him to make out new Writs of Election,
dire [e] ted to the Sheriff of Csecil County, to Elect a Delegate to serve
in this present General Assembly in the room of M.r Henry Baker,
Deceased. To the Sheriff of Prince Georges County, to elect two
Delegates in the room of Messieurs William Murdock and Francis
Waring, Deceased. To the Sheriff of Dorchester County, to elect a
Delegate in the room of M.r Philemon Lecompte, Deceased. And to
the Sheriff of Frederick County, to elect two Delegates in the room
of M.r Joseph Chapline, Deceased, and M.r Thomas Jenings, whose
Seat is vacated.

The House met according to Adjournment.
The Members were called and all appeared as Yesterday.
The Proceedings of Yesterday were read.
M.r Robert Buchanan appeared in the House.
Ordered, That M.r Goldsborough, M.r Wilson, and M.r N. Thomas,
be a Committee to enquire what Laws will expire this Session, and
Report the same to the House.
Ordered, That the Rules of last Session, be observed this Session.
Resolved, That the Hours for sitting for Dispatch of Public Busi-
ness, during this Session, be from Nine o'Clock in the Morning, until
one o'Clock in the Afternoon.
Ordered, That a Message be prepared, acquainting the Upper
House therewith.
Ordered, That M.r Johnson, and M.r Chase be added to the Com-
mittee appointed to prepare an Address to his Excellency.
