Ordered, That M.r Hollyday and M.r Grahame do acquaint the
Governor, that this House hath made choice of a Speaker.
John Beale Bordley, Esq from the Upper House, acquaints the
Members of the Lower House, that the Governor requires their
Attendance to present their Speaker
M.r Speaker left the Chair, and (with the Members of the Lower
House) went to the Upper House, where the Members of the Lower
House presented their Speaker
His Excellency approved the Choice.
The Members were called and all appeared as on Saturday.
The Proceedings of Saturday were read
M.r Allen brings in, and delivers to M.r Speaker, a Bill, entitled,
An Act to remedy the Omission of the Enrollment of a Deed of Bar-
gain and Sale from Thomas Collier to Thomas Lightfoot, William
Lightfoot, Abraham Mitchell, Walter Franklin, and Samuel Frank-
lin: Which was read the first Time, and ordered to lie on the Table
M.r Luckett brings in, and delivers to M.r Speaker, a Bill, entitled,
An Act to divide All Saints Parish in Frederick County, and to erect
two new Parishes, by the Names of Eden Parish and Frederick
Parish: Which was read the first Time, and ordered to lie on the
Table.
M.r Worthington and M.r Purnell appeared in the House
M.r Ringgold brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker the following
Report
By the Committee appointed to enquire what Laws will expire this
Session, and make Report thereof to the House
Your Committee beg Leave to inform the House; That the Act,
entitled, An Act for the Benefit of the Poor, and the Encourage-
ment of Industry, made at a Session of Assembly, begun and held
at the City of Annapolis, the first Day of November, Anno Domini
seventeen hundred and sixty five, will expire with this Session.

The ingrossed Bill, entitled, An Act impowering Edward Tilgh-

and assented to, and sent to the Upper House with the Paper Bill
