Read the first and second Time, by an Especial Order, in this
House, a Bill entitled. "An Act to impose a further Duty on Negroes
imported into this Province, and for the better Support of County
Schools" — and will not Pass, So Endorsed and Sent to the Lower
House by W.m Fitzhugh Esquire —
Read and Rejected the Petitions of Andrew Gearry, and John
Rourk Prisoners in Baltimore County Goal.
Adjourned until to Morrow Morning 10 of the Clock.

Wednesday Morning 14:th November 1770.
The House met again according to Adjournment.

Present as Yesterday.
Mess:rs Allen and Dashiel bring up an Engrossed Bill, entitled
"An Act to remedy the Omission of the Enrollment of a Deed of
Bargain and Sale from Thomas Collier to Thomas Light foot, Wil-
liam Lightfoot, Abraham Mitchell, Walter Franklin, and Samuel
Franklin" Read and Assented to by the Lower House of Assembly,
which was Read and Assented to by this House, and Ordered to be
so Subscribed, the Paper Bill so Endorsed, and Sent to the Lower
House by Dan.l Dulany Esq.r
Adjourned until three of the Clock in the Afternoon.

The House met again according to Adjournment.

Adjourned until to Morrow Morning 10 of the Clock.
