Member for S.t Marys County, to see him Qualified, who takes the
Oath of Abjuration directed to be taken by the late Act of Parlia-
ment and then withdraws
Adjourned until 3 of the Clock in the afternoon

His Excellency is pleased to Communicate, to this House, his
Answer to their Address, which follows in these Words.
Gentlemen of the Upper House of Assembly
I cannot, in Words adequate to what I feel, thank You for your
kind and affectionate Address, or express the pleasure it gives me to
know, that my Conduct, since I have had the honour to preside
here, is approved of by those, whose favourable Opinion it has ever
been my Study to merit.
That no Endeavours of yours will be wanting to bring this Session
to a happy Conclusion, I am very Confident, and you may, Gentle-
men, be assured, that I shall be always ready to concur with the
other Branches of the Legislature, in every Measure, that may be
proposed for promoting the Welfare and Prosperity of this Province.
