The ingross'd address being brought in, read, assented to, and
signed by order of the house by the honorable speaker: Ordered that
M.r M Tilghman and M.r Parran do acquaint his excellency that
this house hath prepared an address to be presented to him, and
desires to know when and where he will be pleased to receive it.
They return and acquaint M.r speaker that his excellency signified he
would receive it immediately in the council chamber
Ordered that M.r Goldsborough and three more do present the
address
M.r Baxter, M.r Ridgley, M.r Moale, M.r Ringgold, and M.r Gantt
have leave of absence till Monday next
Ordered that M.r Johnson, M.r Hollyday, and M.r Jennings do
prepare an address to his excellency in answer to his message of
this day

M.r Johnson brings in and delivers to M.r speaker the following
address.
To his excellency Horatio Sharpe esquire governor and commander
in chief in and over the province of Maryland
The humble address of the house of delegates.
May it please your excellency,

We are impressed with a just sense of the horrid crime mentioned
in your excellencys message of this day, and think with your ex-
cellency, the offer of a reward for the discovering the perpetrators,
the most probable means by which they may be brought to that
punishment they so justly deserve, and have therefore resolved that
the sum of three hundred dollars be applied as a reward for the
apprehension of them; or one hundred and fifty dollars for either
of them to be paid on conviction, and desire your excellency will
be pleased to offer the said reward. Which is read, approved of, and
ordered to be ingross'd
M.r Johnson brings in, and delivers to M.r speaker the ingross'd
address to his excellency, which is read assented to and signed by
order of the house by the honorable speaker.
Ordered that M.r Johnson and M.r Paca do wait on his ex-
cellency and acquaint him, that this house hath prepared an address
to be presented to him, and desires to know when and where he
will be pleased to receive it. They return and acquaint M.r speaker,
his excellency signified he would receive the address immediately in
the council chamber.

Ordered that M.r Johnson and three more do present the address.
The house adjourns 'til 2. o'clock
Post meridiem. The house met according to adjournment.
The house adjourns 'til Monday morning 9 o'clock
