Maryland, that the same may be laid before them, and that they be
requested to concur in this scheme, which will be so beneficial to the
trade of both colonies

Friday May 27.th

The house met &c.a The members were called and all appeared
as on yesterday. The proceedings of yesterday were read.
Ordered that M.r Murdock and five more do present the address
to his excellency

Ordered that M.r Grahame be added to the committee appointed
to inspect the accounts and proceedings of the commissioners ap-
pointed by virtue of the act for the payment of the public claims, for
emitting bills of credit, and for other purposes therein mentioned.

M.r Henry Baker, a delegate returned for Caecil County; appeared
in the house
Ordered that M.r Baxter and M.r Veazy do go with the gentleman
to the upper house to see him qualified. They return and acquaint
M.r speaker, they saw him qualified in the usual manner. The
gentleman took his seat in the house.

Benedict Calvert esquire from the upper house delivers to M.r
speaker the following message

By the upper house of assembly May 27.th 1768.
Gentlemen.

May 27

This house hath appointed Benedict Calvert and Walter Dulany
esquires to join the members of your house, named by you, for
the purposes in your message of yesterday by Mess.rs Worthington

and Steele
Sign'd p order U Scott clk up: ho:

The house adjourns till 2 o'clock
Post meridiem. The house met according to adjournment
M.r Johnson brings in and delivers to M.r speaker the follow-
ing report
By the committee appointed to state the facts relating to indian
affairs, and make report thereof to the house
May 27th 1768.
Your committee in obedience to the order of the honorable house
do humbly report, that by virtue of an act of assembly made in the
year 1704, entituled, an act for ascertaining the bounds of a certain
tract of land, to the use of the Nanticoke indians, so long as they
