On the back of the above Letter is the following Endorsement

M.r John Hunt of London Letter to S: C. 16.th June 1767. pur-

porting there is due to the Province of Maryland, by his Brother
William Hunts Books £381..18..10, which was remitted by S C. to
M.r Hunt in two Bills of Exchange, by Order of the Lower House
of Assembly, 30.th June 1730, to M.rs Frances Ungle Administratrix
of Robert Ungle Esq.r, late Treasurer of the Eastern Shore, the
said Sum appeared by M.r Ungles Books to be due from him as
Treasurer of the Eastern Shore, for Duties on Negroes and Irish
Servants, in his hands, the Bills remitted to M.r Hunt were my own
on M.r Hanbury for £150. and another on M.r Samuel Hyde for
£231..18..10., M.r Hunts Receipt for both was Communicated to
the Lower House and I suppose entered on their Journal.

Sir

I am sorry to acquaint you with the Death of my late Brother
William Hunt Esq,,r, who departed this Life the 27.th April last.
His Affairs now come under my Care as his Executor.

I do not find that he received any Letter from you, since his last
of the 2d April 1761. wherein he inclosed Your Account Current as
Treasurer of the Western Shore, and the Balance then due to the
Publick from his was £93..8..0, the same Ballance now remains due
from his Estate, which I am ready at all times to pay on sending me
the Usual Orders of Your Assembly for that Purpose, and when-
ever You Draw any Bill or Bills on me, fail not to give due Advice

thereof to.
