prescribed by the Act of Parliament passed last Session. They
return, and acquaint M.r Speaker, that Gentleman had taken the
Oath aforesaid, and subscribed the same.
D. Dulany, Esq from the Upper House, delivers to M.r Speaker,
the Petition of sundry Merchants in Baltimore Town: Indorsed,
"By the Upper House of Assembly: Referred to the Consideration
of the Lower House." Was read here and Ordered to lye on the
Table

The Order of the Day being read, the House referred the Con-
sideration of the Petition of the Inhabitants of the Town of Balti-
more, in Baltimore County, until the Morrow; and Ordered, That
the same be then heard at the Bar of this House.
On Motion of T. Johnson, Esq That a Message be prepared,
and sent to the Upper House.
Ordered, That T. Johnson, W. Murdock, J. Hall, H. Hall, T.
Ringgold, and S. Chase, Esq.rs and M.r Allen, do prepare and bring
in such Message.
On Motion, That, by an Order of this House, made this Session,
no new Business should be received after this Day,
Ordered, That the same be enlarged until to Morrow Afternoon,
And that Leave be given to bring in any new Business before the
Adjournment of the House To-Morrow Evening.
On Motion of T. Ringgold, Esq Leave is given to bring in a
Supplementary Bill, to the Act, entitled, An Act for quieting Pos-
sessions, enrolling Conveyances, and securing the Estates of Pur-
chasers.
Ordered, That T. Ringgold, T. Johnson, and J. Hall, Esq.rs do
prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly.
The House adjourns till the Morrow Morning at 9 of the Clock

Nov. 19

Wednesday, November 19.
The House met.
All appeared as Yesterday, except Col. Tilghman.
J. Hall, Esq brings in, and delivers to M.r Speaker, a Bill, entitled,
An Act for the speedy and effectual Publication of the Laws of this
Province, and for the Encouragement of Jonas Green, of the City
of Annapolis, Printer. Which was read the first Time, and Ordered
to lye on the Table.
T. Johnson, Esq brings in, and delivers to M.r Speaker, the fol-
lowing Message, Viz.t
By the Lower House of Assembly, November 19, 1766.
May it please your Honours,
