Ordered, That M.r Allen, and M.r Sulivane, do go to the Upper
House with those Gentlemen, to see them take the Oath of Abjura-
tion appointed by Act of Parliament, &.a They return, and acquaint
M.r Speaker, those Gentlemen had taken the Oath aforesaid, and
subscribed the same.
M.r Grahame brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker the following
ingrossed Bills, N.o 3, 4, 5, 6. Which were severally read and as-
sented to, and sent to the Upper House, with the Paper Bills, by
M.r Edmondson and Capt. Winder.
S. Wilson, Esq brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker, a Bill,
entitled, An Act to impower the Justices of Somerset County, to
levy on the Taxable Inhabitants of Somerset Parish in the said
County, the Quantity of one hundred and forty four thousand
Pounds of Tobacco, for the Uses therein mentioned Which was read
the first and second Time by especial Order and will pass
On Motion of M.r Grahame, Leave is given to bring in a Bill for
the Adjournment of Frederick County Court
Ordered That M.r Grahame, G. Plater, and H. Hollyday, Esq.rs
do prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly.

B. Calvert, Esq from the Upper House, delivers to M.r Speaker
the Petitions of several languishing Prisoners in the County Goals
of this Province. Indorsed. "By the Upper House of Assembly:
Referred to the Consideration of the Lower House." Which were
here read the first Time and ordered to lye on the Table.
Richard Lee, Esq from the Upper House, delivers to M.r Speaker,
the Paper Bills, N.o 3, 4, 5, 6, Indorsed, "By the Upper House of
Assembly Nov.r 14, 1766, the ingrossed Bill whereof this is the
Original, is read and assented to

Signed by Order, U Scott, Cl Up. Ho."

John Hall, Esq brings in, and delivers to M.r Speaker, a Bill,
entitled, An Act for issuing Writs of Replevin out of the County
Courts of this Province. And a Bill, entitled, An Act for raising
Pence Sterling for every Hogshead of Tobacco exported
out of this Province for the Support of an Agent at London, for
the Service of this Province: Which was read the first Time and
ordered to lye on the Table
On Motion of D. Wolstenholme, Esq Leave is given to bring
in a Bill, to oblige Ships and Vessels coming into this Province, to
perform Quarentine
Ordered, That D. Wolstenholme, W. Murdock, G. Plater, T.
Johnson, Esq.rs and M.r Fielder Gantt, do prepare and bring in a
Bill accordingly
J. Ridout, Esq from the Upper House, delivers to M.r Speaker,
the Petition of David Murray, a languishing Prisoner in Worcester
