to see him Qualified, who takes and Subscribes the Oath of Abju-
ration directed to be taken by the late Act of Parliament and then
withdraws.
Read and referred the Petition of Archibald Balentine of Talbot
County Sent by Col.^o Hammond.

Read the second time, in this House, and will Pass, The Bill
Entitled an Act for imposing an Additional Duty of two Pounds
per Poll on all Negroes imported into this Province Sent by Daniel

Read the second time in this House and will not pass. The Bill
Ent.^d An Act to remedy the Evils arising from the retailing Strong
Liquors in small Quantities without License, and for other pur-
poses therein mentioned. Sent by Daniel Dulany Esq..^r

Read the second time, in this House and will Pass, with the
following Amendments, the Bill Entituled An Additional Supple-
mentary Act to the Act Ent.^d An Act for Quieting Possessions,
enrolling Conveyances and securing the Estates of Purchasers Sent
by Daniel Dulany Esq..^r

The Words "or Effects" in the 11.^th Line of third Page to be left
out After the Word "Court" in the I3.^th Line of the same Page,
add the following Words Viz..^t "not being a Minor" In the 16.^th
Line of the 4.^th Page after the Word "Been" add the following
Words Viz..^t "acknowledged and" In the 20.^th Line of the same
