on the several Goals therein mentioned so far as to insert the Names
of Thomas Hicks Newton, Richard Freeman and William Morgan
of Calvert County, Nathan Joyce and Shepherd Grimes of Ann
Arundel County and John Berry of Frederick County and have
amended the Bill accordingly But as to Henry Heinzman and George

Bell of Prince Georges which should be Baltimore County, we

cannot Concede to the amendment proposed as we are not apprized
of any Circumstances to merit the Interposition of the Legislature
in favour of those Petitioners, on the Contrary, We are informed
that the Principal Creditor at whose Instance Henry Heinzman is
now detained and who became so by being his Surety hath Offered
to take his Bond for his Claim and discharge him from Goal which
Heinzman hath refused. That John Davis hath been Guilty of a
Riot in the Goal and is detained on that Account as well as for
Debt, and that George Beall is Strongly Suspected of having acted
fraudently towards his Creditors, and no recommendation of the
said Georges Bealls Petition by the Magistrates in his County ap-
pears to this House nor does it in any manner appear to us that

the Creditors of the said George Beall have any Notice of his Petition,
We therefore hope your Honours Concurrence with the Bill as
now returned to you for that purpose

Act for Trial of all Matters of Fact in the several Counties where
they have arisen or shall arise.
Read the first time and ordered to lye on the Table.

Read the Third time the Bill Entitled An Act for the Relief of
certain Languishing Prisoners in the several Goals therein men-
tioned and will pass as it is now amended. Sent by John Ridout Esq..r
