            Charles County Court Proceedings, 1666—1668.     75

       Thomas Allanson entereth a Crosse Diamond upon the Neare Liber C
      Flanke for the Marke of his horses, and Mares.
       Hathond Norton entereth this following Marke of his hogges and
      Cattle (vizt) 3 Slitts on the left eare & a Swallow Forke on the
      Right
       Jemima Long entereth this ensueing Marke of her hogs, and Cattle [p. 164]
      (vizt) Cropt and Slitt on the left eare.

      At a Courte Held in Charles Countie on the eleaventh Day of June
                          Ano 1667

                       Comissionrs  Mr Tho: Mathewes
        Mr Zachery Wade

       Alexander Smyth presents Elizabeth Taylor, and Thomas Duppe
      his Servts to have their age adjudged she is adjudged about 19 & 20
      and he at fifteen.
       Mr John Bowles presents Will. Tymothie to have his age ad-
      judged, and he is ad.judged to be about 15 years of age.
       Daniell Seney the Servt of Henry Moore is adjudged to be between
      fourteen and fifteen years of age.
       John Whilden the Servt of Edward Swanne is adjudged to be 24
      yeares of age.
       Thomas Cooper presented by Richard Randall is adjudged to be
      fifteen yeares of age.
       Thomas Skinner Servt of Robert Hunly is adjudged to be about
      fifteen yeares of age
       Isaac Waalwort Servt of W William Marshall is adjudged to be
      22 yeares of age
       Dermud Mack Cartie Servt of Rice Jones is adjudged to be be-
      tween thirteen and fourteen yeares of age.

                            of Jo: Browne Defendt
       The plaintife arresting the Defendt in his aeon of debt pre
      ferreth this ensueing Declaracon (vizt)     [p. 165]
       To the Worple the Comissionrs of Charles Countie
       The Plaintife Declares agt the Defendt in his acon of Debt as
      Administrator of the estate of John Browne decd for tht the said
      John Browne in his life time stood indebted to the Plaintife in
      the sume of 1407 lb of tobaccoe for wth said Sume the said John
      Browne passed his Bill to the Plaintife readie to be produced in
      Court whereupon he brings his Suite &c.

       The Plaintife allsoe in Confirmacon of the said Declaracon pro-
      duceth the sd Bill of John Browne whereupon the said Gerrard
      Browne acknowledgeth a Judgmt unto the Plaintife for the said
      Sume of 1407 lb of tobaccoe
