538 Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—1674. Liber E thinge or things device or devices, assurance or assurances whatsoev are requisite in the pmisses for the better assureinge & more firme makeinge of the aforesd bargained pmisses, unto him the sd Robert Ingolsby his heires & ass forever be it by inrolment of theise pntes, fine, feofmt or otherwayes, or by any such law full wayes or meanes, as by him the sd Robert Ingolsby his heires & ass, or his or their Councell learned in the Law shall be reasonably devised advized or required In witnes whereof the pties first above named to theise pnte Indentures have interchangeably Sett their hands & Seales the day & yeare first above written Signed Sealed & deIivd in the William Thomas (loc prsence of Edw Maddock sigil) George Athys X mke Signum Robert Ingolsby X (loc sigil) J obe Corner acknowledges a Tract of Land to John Hackister called Jobes comfort This Indenture made the first day of August in the xxxiid yeare of the Dominion of Cecilius Lord Propryetary &c Annoq Dñi 1673: Between Jobe Corner of Charles County in the Province of Mary- land Plant of the one pte & John Hackister of the Same County Cooper of the other pte, Witnesseth that the sd Jobe Corner for & in considacon of the Sume of two thousand five hundred pounds of good Sound thchtable tob & caske & other valueable consideracons him hereunto moveing All wch the sd John Hackister hath allready pd & pformed to the sd Jobe Corner before the ensealeing & delivery of these prsents the receipt and pformance whereof he the sd Jobe Corner doth hereby acknowledge and him Self therewth to be fully Satisfied contented and pd & thereof and of pt & pcell thereof doth clearely acquitt exonerate and discharge the sd John Hackister his heyres Executors and Admrs for ever by these prsents Hath given granted Sold aliened enfeofeed & confirthd And by these presents doth give grant bargaine Sell enfeofee & confirm unto the sd John Hackister his heyres & assigns All that quantity or pcell of Land called Jobes Comfort Scituate lyeing and being in Charles County aforesd & begining at a bounded poplar Standing neare a bounded Gumm a bound Tree of William Heards Land on the East Side of the mayne fresh of Portobacco or St Thomas Creeke bounding upon the sd Heards land South one hundred & Sixty pches to a bounded Spanish Oke Standing upon a plaine, Thence East two hundred pches to a bounded red oke Standing upon the sd plaine thence North one hundred & Sixty pches untill it intersects a paralell drawne from the first bound Tree containeing and laid out for two hundred acres of Land be it more or less wth all and Singular its Rights Members and appurtenances Together wth all houses edifices build- |
