Liber E named Edward Solley, accordinge to the tenour forme & effect of the within written deede, this tenth day of March Annoq Domi 1673/4 in the pnce of us whose names are hereundr written. X the mke of Robert Ingolsby Thomas Hyatts marke Henry Bedford [p. 160] Know all men by theis pntes that I Susanna Thomas wife of William Thomas of Charles County in the province of Maryland doe constitute & appointe & ordeine my trusty & well beloved freind Edward Maddock of the same County & Province aforesd for to be my true & law full Attorney for me & in my name & to acknowledge one pcell of land that the sd William Thomas & Susanna & Susanna his wife hath Sold unto Robert Inglosby from them their heires executors & admrs & ass forever as witnes my hand & Seale this Seaventh day of March 1673/4 the mke of Signed Sealed & delivd Susanna Thomas in the pnce of us Zachary Wade (loc Randoll Hansons mke X Sigil) The ensueinge Conveyance was acknowled in Court by the above menconed Edward Maddock and William Thomas for a Tract of Land called Thomas his chance cont two hundred acres vizt This Indenture made this eighteenth day of february in the 42d yeare of the dominion of the Right Honble Caecilius &c, over this Province, And in the yeare of Or Lord 1673 Betweene William Thomas of Charles County in the same Province of the on pte, And Robert Ingoisby of the same County planter of the other pte, Witnesseth that the sd William Thomas as well for & in Consideracon of the quantity of Seaven thousand pounds of Tobacco in Cask in hande paide before the ensealeinge & delivy hereof by the sd Robert Ingoisby, whereof & wherewth the sd William Thomas doth acknowl- edge himself e satisfied contented & payde, & thereof & of evy pte & pcell thereof doth acquitt exonerate & discharge the sd Robert Ingoisby his heires executrs admrs & evy of them by theis pntes As also for divers other good causes & consideracons him hereunto moveinge Have graunted bargained & Sold assigned sett over & confirmed, And by theise pntes doe fully clearely & absolutely grante bargain Sell assigne Sett over & confirme unto the sd Robert Ingoisby his heires executrs admrs & ass All that pcell of land Scytuate lyeinge & beinge in Charles County aforemencond called Thomas his Chance begininge at a bounded black Oake in the woods run- ninge thence Easte One hundred & fifty pches to a bounded red oake thence North two hundred & fowerteene pches to a bounded Pekickary thence West one hundred & fifty pches to an Oake thence untill it comes to the first bound tree, conteyninge & now layd out |
