508 Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—1674.

        Liber E    & dayes Since the comencinge of this suite contrived & continued &
              contrary to the peace to his damage two thousand pounds of Tobacco:
              And the Defdt saith he is no way guilty of the Trespass layd to his
              charge by the Plt, both pties doe putt themselves upon the Country
              & upon examinacon the Jury finde damage for the Plaintiff thirty
              pounds of tobacco And the Court ordered the Plt should have the sd
              sume of the defdt with Costs of suite, vizt.

                In a difference dependinge betweene Mathew Hill Plt & John Dobbs
              Defdt the Clrk beinge Sick & the declaracon not to be found, the
              Court order the declaracon to be new drawne the declaracon since
              brought in the Defdt excepted agst it & said it was different from
              the former as to matter of fact, the Court ordrs it shall be pleaded
              to. The Defdt pleaded that he reed no Cow or Calfe p the Plts
              ordr, but the contrary beinge proved, the Court Ordered that the
              Defdt should deliver the Cow & Calfe back to the Plt & pay Costs,
              no bill of Costs brought in.


                In a difference dependinge betweene Nicholas Solsby Plt & James
              Munkister DefdL It is ordrd p the Lourt by both pties Consent that
              there be a refference till next Court


              The Court is adjourned untill the Eleaventh of November next.
