472 Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—1674. LiberE respect of their Seignory or Seignoryes onely Excepted & fore- prised) in Witnesse whereof the parties Aforesd To theesse Inden- tures have Interchangeably put their handes and Seales the day and year first above written, Thom: Wharton (locus Signed Sealed & Deliverd Sigilli) In the Presence of John Boyden Richard Carpenter Henry Bedford Acknowledgeth ths Enseweing Conveyance of lande unto John Twigges This Indenture made the 10th of June AnnocB Domini 1673 Be- tween Henery bed ford of Charles County in the Province of Marya- land of the one part and John Twigges of the same County of the other part Witnesseth tht the Henery Bedford as well for and In Consideration of the full and Just Summe of three thousand Five hundred poundes of Tobacco in Caske in hande payd by the said John Twigges, the receipt whereof the sd Henery Bedford doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and of Every part and parcell thereof doth hereby Absolutely and Cleerly Exonerate Acquitt and Dischardge The sd Twigges and his heyres Executrs Administratours & Assignes by theis Presentes hath given granted bargained Aliened sold En- feoffed and Confirmed and by theis presents doth give grante bar- game sell Enfeof and Confirme unto him the said John Twigges his heyrs and Assignes fur Ever One hundred acres of tht Parcell and Tract of Land Called Hargesse Hope lyeing and being in Charles County before Mentioned and beginning Att a Marked Hickory running North one hundred and fifteen Perches to a bounded white Oake on the west lyne of Zachya Mannour, Bounded on the North o the Said Mannour and Running East a hundred and ten Perches to A Bounded Gumm in a branch of Zachy Swamp bounding one the East by the runne of the sd Swampe and runneing As the said run runneth one hundred and fifteen perches to a bounded Oake and Run- ning West to the first bound hickory Containing and now layd out for a hundred Acres more or lesse wth All the rights and benefitts there- unto belongeing With All houses Edefices and Buildings Orchards Yardes Gardens landes and Tenements feedings Pastures woodes and underwoodes and appurtenances whoever belonging And alsoe all Patents deedes Evidences and Writeinges Touching or Concern- ing the same to have and to hold the sd parcell and tract of Land and all and singuler the bargained Premises unto him the Sd John Twigges his heyres and Assignes for Ever And The Henry Bedford for himselfe his heyrs Execrs and Administratours doth hereby Cove- nant and grante to and with the John Twigges his heyres and Assignes tht he the Henery Bedford his heires Executrs and Ad- ministrs the Parcell of land and All other the Bargained Premises unto him the sd John Twigges his heyres and Assignes against All |
