Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—16 74. 413 membrs and appurtenances unto the said Francis Wyne his heires Liber E and Assignes forever In Witness whereof the partyes abovesaid have Sett theyre hands and Seales the day & yeare abovesaiSigned Sealed & delivered Eliza: Emanson (locus in the prsence of Sigilli) Phil: Lynes Tho: Lomax John Godshall acknowledgeth this ensueing Conveyance to Rich Beck This Indenture made the Second day of March Anno 1671 Be- tweene John Godsall in Charles County Planter of the one pt and Rich Becke of the Same County and Province of the other Wit- nesseth tht the said Godsall as well for and in consideracon of the sume of two thousand pounds of tobacco in Caske to him in hand payd before the ensealeing and delivery of these prsents by the said Becke therewth the Said Godsall doeth acknowledge himself e tO be fully Satisfyed contented & paid & thereof doeth accquitt and dis- charge the Said Becke his heyres Executrs & Administrators and every of them by these prsents as allso for divers other good Causes & consideracons him thereunto moveing hath given granted bar- gained Sold assigned Sett over & confirmed and by these prsents doeth give grant bargaine Sell assigne Sett over and Confirme unto the Said Beck his heyres Executrs Adminrs & assignes all tht parcell of Land lyeing Scituate & being in Charles County and on the East Side of Avon River formerly called Nangemy Creeke adjoyneing to Poynton Mannr Begining at a bounded Oake and bounding on the East wth a lyne drawne North north west from the said Oake a lyne drawne west South west from the said Oake for the length of three hundred & twenty perches to a bounded oke on the west a lyne drawne South South East from the end of the former lyne to a bounded Gumme tht Stands in the Exteriall part of Poynton Mannr and now laid out for one hundred acres more or less as it appeareth by Pattent to the Said Godsall beareing date the 29th of July Anno 1664 and now in the possession of the abovesd Rich Beck all and [fol. 79] Singular wch said parcell of Land together wth all & Singular the houses orchards Gardens pastures feedings Comons buildings edifices Structures together all pastures ranges for hoggs woods under- woods wtsoever thereunto belonging or anywise appertaineing To Have & To Hold the said parcell of Land & all & Singular the prmisses before menconed to be hereby bargained and Sold wth the appurte- nances thereunto belonging or appertaineing unto the Said Rich Beck his heyres Executrs Adminrs or assignes forever therefore yeilding & payeing yearly to the Right Honble the Lord Propryetary the Rents due for this said Land at the feast of the blessed Nativity of Or Lord & Savior Jesus Christ if the Same be lawfully demanded and the said John Godsall for himselfe his heyres Executrs and |
