338 Charles County Court Proceedings, 167 1—1674. Liber E Freeman of Liverpoole in the neate quantity of one thousand Seven hundred & Seven pounds of Tobaccoe Good & merchantable in leafe & Caske att or before the tenth day of october next Ensueing the date hereof in the yeare 1670 wth reasonable Satisfaccons for forbearance wch Sd Sume to bee payd to him the Sd Robert Crosman his Certain Atturny his heires Execrs Admrs or Assignes firmly by these pnts, Sealed wth my Seale & dated this 18th day of Febry 1669: Sealed Signed & Dd Signed Thomas warner (locus in the psence of Sigilli) Wm Corrin Edward Williamson whereupon the deft put the said marke Cordier to prove his lre of Atturny whereto he the Said Thomas was a wittnes whereon the Court gave Judgemt agt him for the Sume Seventeen hundred and Seven pounds of Tobaccoe wth this Ensueing Bill of Costs. To Atturnys Fees 6o To Attendance on the Court 9o 150 Wm Corrin by his Atturny marke Cordier plt agt Tho: warner Deft accon debt Whereupon the plt Complaineth agt the Deft for that whereas the Deft Stands indebted unto him the Said plt in the Just quantity of one thousand Six hundred and fifty pounds of tobaccoe & Caske as ? his Bill under his hand & Seale bearing date the 18th day of february 1669 will more plainly appeare now the Said Thomas the Said Sume of 1650 lb tobaccoe & Caske Refusing & denying to pay being often thereunto Required but intending fraudulently & Craftily to Cozin & deceive the Said william of the Said quantity of 1650 lb tobaccoe & Caske he ther fore bringeth his Suite, praying yor worps Judgemt therefore, wth Cost of Suite. And for proofe of this his declaracon he produced this Ensueing bill. Know all men by these pnts tht I Thomas warner of St Georges milne in the County of St Maryes & province of Maryland am holden and firmly bound unto Wm Corrin of liverpoole in the County of lancr in the quantity of one thousand Six hundred & fifty pounds of Good & Sound merchantable leafe Tobaccoe in Caske att or hefnre the tenth day of october in the yeare 1670 WCh Said quantity to bee payd to him the Said wm Corrin or to his Certain Atturny his Exrs Admrs or Assignes I bind my selfe my heires Execrs Admrs & Assignes (wth Reasonable Satisfaccon for forbearance firmly by these pnts Sealed wth my Seale & dated this 18th day of febry 1669 Sealed Signed & Dd Signed Thomas Warner (locus in psence of us sigilli) Robt Crosman Ed: Williamson |
