         Liber E    convenient tyme, after reaseonable request made well & sufficiently
               saved & kept harmeless of and from all manner of former and other
               bargaynes, Sales Estates former leases Titles dowers Rights or Titles
               of Dowers, Joyntures uses Intayles wills Rents Charges Arreareges
         [fol. 221  of Rents Statutes Recognezances Judgmts Execucons Titles troubles
               charges and demandes wtever had made done Comitted or wittingly
               Suffer'd by the sayd Nathan: Barton his heyres Executrs or Assignes
               or any of thm, or of or by any other pson or psons wtsoever lawfully
               claymeing by from or under thm or any of them, or theyre or any
               of theyre uses, or by theyre or any of theyre Titles Estates meanes
               or pcuremt, and the said Nathan: Barton for himselfe his heyres
               Executrs Administrs all and Singuler the afore bargayned prmisses,
               wth theyre Appurtenances, And every part and parcell thereof unto
               the said Will: Barton his heyres Administrs and Assignes, to the
               Intent and meaneing aforesd shall and will warrt and forever defend
               by these prsents the Rent and services wch from henceforth from
               tyme to tyme for and respect of the aforemenconed prmisses hereby
               Sold wch shall becom due and payable to the cheife Lord or Lordes,
               of the fee or fees thereof for or in respect of his or theyre Seignoryes
               or Seignoryes only excepted, and foreprized In witness whereof the

                 This Indenture made the nynth day of January anno one thousand
               six hundred and Seventy, Between Sam: Fendall of Charles County
         [fot. 23]  in the Province Maryland Gent: Of the one part, And William
               Barton of the same County Gent: of the other part, Witnesseth
               That the sayd Samuell Fendall as well for & in consideracon of the
               quantety of seaven thousand poundes of tobacco and Caske in hand
               payd before the ensealeing and delivery of these prsents by the sayd
               William Barton, whereof and wherewth the sayd Samuell Fendall
               doth acknowledge himselfe to be fully satisfyed & payd and thereof
               and of every part and parcell thereof doth acquitt and discharge the
               said William Barton, his heyres Executrs Administratrs and every of
               thm by these prsents as allsoe for divers other good Causes and con-
               sideracons him hereunto moveing, have granted bargayned Sold
               assigned sett over and confirmed, and by these prsents doth fully
               clearely and absolutely Grant bargaine sell assigne sett over and
               confirme unto the sayd William Barton his heyres Executrs and
