Charles County Court Proceedings, 1668—1670. 279 called by the name of white faces heifer about 3 years old one black Liber D heifer about three years old called by the name of Hannikins heifer & an heifer called by the name of patch about three years old & a small heifer about two years old called by the name of brindy & one about the same age called Pie all wch Cows are swallow forked on the right eare & underkeeled & a Crop & an hole on the left eare & also one browne Cow about four years old being swallow forked on both ears & underkeeled & overkeeled on the right eare & one red pied heifer of the same eare marke about three years old called by the name of old cherries heifer & alsoe two stears about six years old apeece the one a black one & the other browne being swallow forked & underkeeled on the right eare & a Crop & an hole on the left & two stears of the same eare marke about 3 years old each the one black A With A Sarr in his forehead the other browne [p. 77] & alsoe six Sowes of the same eare marke & a bore All web sd Cattle together their future increase to her the sd Ellen Lambert her heirs & Assigns to have & hold for ever And alsoe I give & grant to my sd wife her heirs & Assignes all my household stuff & Utensills wtsoever All sd land Cattle mares horses & wt else above specified I freely give grant and Assigne over unto my sd Wife Ellen Lambert & her heirs forever wth Sufficient Warrant for the same agt all Claimes wtsoever hereby binding my self my heirs Exectrs & Admtrs to defend her the sd Ellen Lambert her heirs & Assignes in the lawfull peaceable & quiet possession of the same agt all per- sons wtsoever In witness hereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale this twenty fifth day of Novemr Anno Domi 1670Signed Sealed & Delivered John X Lambert 0 in prsence of Us his marke Luke Greene John Godshall Gerard Browne Acknowledgeth this ensueing Conveyance to George Langham. This Indenture made the nineteenth day of February 1669 Be- [p.78] tweene Gerard Browne of Charls County in the Province of Mary- land Plantr of the one part & George Langham of the County & Province aforessd Plantr of the other part Witnesseth That the said Gerard Browne for & in Consideracon of two thousand pounds of tobacco to him in hand att & before the Sealing & delivery of these prsnts by the sd George Langham well & truly pd the receipt whereof the sd Gerard Browne doth hereby acknowledge & himself therewth fully satisfied & pd & thereof & of every parte & parcell thereof d.oth clearely acquit exonerate & discharge the sd George Langham his heirs Exectrs Admtrs & Assignes forever by these prsnts Hath given granted aliened bargain'd sold enfeoffed & Confirmed & by these doth give grant aliene bargaine sell enfeoife & Confirme unto the sd George Langham his heirs & Assgns for ever all tht parcell of |
