250 Charles County Court Proceeaings, 1668—1670.

        Liber D    altogether refuse to pay the same whereupon the sd Thoms saith he
              is Damnified & hath loss to the Valew of 500 lb of tob & thereupon
              he bringeth his suite.

                Then the plt produced this ensueing bill

                Upon the ballance of all Accts betweene Mr Thoms Hussey & me
              George Thompson I the sd Thompson doe hereby oblige myself to
              pay unto Mr Wm Marshall the sume of 337 lb of tob being the re-
              mainder of 2000 lb of tob as witness this my hand this 31 of Decemr

                Wm Marshall aged 75 years or therabouts sworne & saith he never
              recd any tot5 of the Deft upon the acct of the plt: Whereupon It
              was ordered tht the Deft pay 337 of tob unto the plt wth Costs
              of suite
         for Mrs Hussy & Marshall 5 daies attendance 30      150
         [p. 136]  The Court is Adjourned till seven of the Clock on the morrow
                             morning
