                Mr Henry Hawkins desireth this bill to be recorded
                Know all men by these prsents tht I Nicho: Turner of Charles
              County in the Province of Maryland Plantr for & in Consideracon
              of 1500 lb of Tobac in Cask to me in hand pd by Henry Hawkins
              of the aforesd County Plant aft & before the ensealing of these
              prsents wherewth I confess my self to be fully satisfied Contented &
              pd have bargain'd & sold & by these prsents doe fully clearely & abso-
              lutely bargaine & sell unto the sd Henry Hawkins A sorrell horse
              blazed on the forehead double Crost on the far buttock about four
              yeares old to have & to hold the sd horse to the sd Hawkins his
              Exectrs Administrs & Assigns to his or their owne pp use & behoofe
              for ever in Wittness hereof I have sett my hand & seale this 24

                This ensueing Coveyance was reacknowledged by Edward Powell
              to Thomas Baker in open Court
                This Indentr made the 11 of Augt 1668 betweene Tho: Baker of
              Charls County in the Province of Maryland plantr on the one pte &
              Edw: Powell of the foresd County & Province Sawyer on the othr
              pte Witneseth tht the sd Tho: Baker as well for & in Consideration
              of the full sume of 4000 lb Tobacc: in Cask in hand pd him before
              the ensealing & delivery hereof by the sd Powell whereof & where
              with the sd Baker doth acknowledge himself to be fully satisfied
              Contented & pd & thereof & of every pte & pcell thereof doth acquit
              & discharge the sd Powell his heires Exectrs & Administrs & every
              of them by these prsents as also for diverse good causes & con-
