Liber D John Morrise enters his mark Cropt & hoaled in the left eare, & a nick on the right eare Called the fiowr deluce John Shereman his marke Cropt on the right eare Wm Barker his marke for Cattle & hogs T T upon each eare The Court is adjourned till the second Tuesday in June [p. 88] Att A Court held in Char Coty the 2nd Teuesday of June 1669 Prsent Comissioners Mr Henry Adamesi Mr Za: Wade W Tho: Mathews Mr Fra: Pope Mr Jos: Harrison Mr James Lendsey Mr Hump Warren John Cage brings A maide Servt to be judged Ann Parker & she is judged to be nineteene years old John Ward prsents Robert Doughty who is judged to be fifeteene years of Age John Wheeler prsents Sam: Gaskoyne who is judged 17 years old Tho: King prsents Sam: Cobb who is judged to be 15 years old Mr Emanson prsents a servt for runing away who is ordered 12 lashes John Caen prsents a servt for runing away who is ordered 10 Lashes Wm Allen & John Munn acknowledge this following Conveyance to Tho: Bennett of St Marys County This Indenture made the eight day of June in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred sixty & nine betwixt Wm Allen & John Munn of Charles County in the Province of Mary Land on the one parte & Thomas Bennett of St Marys County in the afore- said Province of the other parte Witnesseth tht the sd Wm Allen & John Munn as well for & in Consideracon of nine thousand pounds of Tobacco & Cask to them in hand pd by the sd Thom: Bennett where wth the sd Wm Allen & Jo: Munn doe acknowledge themselves fully satisfied & thereof & there from & of & from every part & parcell thereof doe acquit release & discharge the sd Thomas Bennett his heires Executors & Administrators by these prsents As also for diverse other Good Causes & Considerations them there unto move- ing Have given granted Alien'd bargained Sold enfeoffed & Con- [p. 89] firmed And by these prsents doe fully Clearly & absolutely give grant alien bargaine sell enfeoffe confirme unto the sd Thom: Bennett his Executors heirs Administratrs & Assignes for ever all tht parcell or tract of Land lyeing on the north side of Potomucke River in the County aforesd begining at a marked Locust standing on the high Cliffes some two leagus above Caedar point from thence ruing North by the river side for lenght 120 pearchs to a marked white Oake |
