           Charles County Court Proceedings, 1666—1668.     127

     said Mr Pope obtained an order against the said Mr Beane at the                  Liber C
     last Court held on the 10th Day of March Writt of execucon to
     the Sherrife

       Elizabeth Storie Plaintife verss Cap. Josias Fendall Defendt in a
     plea of trespasse upon the Case for the sufñe of 2000 lb of tobaccoe;
     Dammages to the value of [blank] Writt of Capias to the Sherrife
     retornable on the 7th Day of Aprill 1668
       Elizabeth Stone Plaintife verss Cap. Josias Fendall Defendt in a
     plea of trespasse upon the Case for the Summe of 2000 lb of tobaccoe;
     Dammages to the value of [blank] Writt of Capias to the Sherrife
     retornalbe ut supra.
       By virtue of these writts I would have taken the within Named Sherrifes
     Cap. Fendall but could not find him in my Bayliwick. retornes

     At a Court held in Charles Countie on the Seaventh Day of Aprill
                       Anno Dni 1668.
        Mr James Lyndsey                 Mr Francis Pope    Present   Justices
        Mr Zachariah Wade                W Joseph Harrison

       William Perfect presented William Lans to have his age ad-
     judged by the Court and he was adjudged to be fourteen yeares
     of age
       John Hammonds Servant of Jeremiah Dickenson was presented
     to the Court, & adjudged to be fifteen yeares of age
       Henrie Vaine Servant of George Newman was presented to the
     Court, and adjudged to be fourteen yeares of age.

       Whereas W Nathaniel Eaton, and Mris Verlinda Burdit were by
     writt of Scire facias Summoned to the Court to shew Cause if they
     soe could wherefore writt of Execucon should not forthwith issue
     against them in the behalfe of Mr Henrie Adams to Levie the Summe
     of 953 lb of tobaccoe due from them to him the said Mr Adams Now
     the said Mr Nathaniel Eaton made his personall appearance but
     declared no Sufficient cause against the issueing of Execucon as
     aforesaid Whereupon It is ordered tht the said Mr Adams have
     writt of execucon

   Nicholas Emanson Plaintife John Lewger Defendt                                        [p. 264]
           In a plea of trespasse upon the case.
       Nicholas Emanson the Plaintife made his Personall appearance
     to prosecute the said suite Commenced agt the Defendt.
       John Lewger the Defendt did personallie appeare to defend the
     same
       Hereupon the Plaintife Declared against the Defendt in manner and
     forme as followeth vizt.
