122 Charles County Court Proceedings, 1666—1668.
Liber C in her life time became indebted unto the said Absalom in the Summe
of 1524 lb of tobaccoe and being soe indebted obliged herself e by Bill
bearing date the 10th Day of Februarie 1664, and Signed Sealed
and Delivered as her act and Deed to the said Absolam for the true
Payment and Satisfacon of the said 1524 lb of tobaccoe to have been
made to her by the said Absolam according to the said Bill on the
10th of November next ensueing the Date of the said Bill And Like-
wise whereas the said Bridget in her Life time did owe the said
Absolam the Summe of 148 lb of tobaccoe more for goods in value
Amounting to the said Summe Delivered to her the said Bridget
by the said Absolam the Account whereof he is readie to Produce
yet Notwithstanding the said John having taken out Letter of Ad-
ministracon whereby he is obliged to Satisfie all debts Contracted
on the estate of the said Bridget doth Denye the said Absolam Pay-
ment of the said Summes justly due upon the same though requested
thereto Wherefore the said Absolam Prayeth this Worple Court
tht order may be graunted to him Comanding the said John to
Satisfie the said Debts to him Costs and Charge of suite,
And &c.
Hereupon the Plaintife in Confirmacon of his said Declanacon
Produced the Bill specified therein to be passed to him by the said
Bridget Heard as aforesd wch was as followeth vizt
This Bill bindeth me Bridget Heard widdow in Charles County
my heires Executors Adminrs and Assignes to pay or Cause to be
well and truely Paid unto Absolam Coveant of Bristoll Merchant
or to his Assignes the full just and entire summe of 1524 lb of good
sound Mrchble tobaccoe and Caske at or upon the 10th Day of Novem-
ber next ensueing the Date hereof at my Now Dwelling house in
Pikawaxen As witnes my hand this 10th Day of Februanie 1664.
