The following Message is sent by Col.o Hooper.
By the Upper House of Assembly 25th Sept.r 1765.
Gentlemen
Not having at present any regular Notice of the Foundation of
the Resolve referred to in Your Message of this day and it being
necessary that We Should be apprized of it before We come to a
Determination on the Subject of that Message We request that You
will be pleased to Communicate it to this House.

This House met again according to Adjournment:
Present as Yesterday.

Sept. 26

Mess.rs Wilson and Chaille attend with W.m Allen and Parker
Selby Members Elected for Somerset [sic, i.e. Worcester] County
to see them Qualified who take the Oaths to the Government ap-
pointed to be taken by Act of Assembly repeat and Subscribe the
Abjuration and Test and then withdraw.
Mess.rs Hanson and Plater from the Lower House present the
following Message and the Letters from the Speaker of the Massa-
chusetts Bay.
By the Lower House of Assembly 26.th Sept.r 1765.
May it please Your Honours.
In Compliance with the request Contained in Your Message re-
ceived this day We send You herewith Copies of Letters received
by Our Speaker from the Speaker of the House of Representatives
of the Province of Massachusetts Bay and of a Committee of the
said House which were the Foundation of the Resolve referred to
in Our Message.

In the House of Representatives 13th June 1764.

The Committee appointed to Consider the Letters from M.r Agent
Mauduit reported the Draught of a Letter to him which was Read
and accepted and
Ordered that a fair Draught thereof be transmitted to said Agent
together with the State of the Rights of the British Colonies and that
he be informed that said State was drawn up by one of the House
and to be improved by him as he shall judge Proper.
Ordered that M.r Otis, M.r Thacher, M.r Gushing Cap.t Sheaf
and M.r Grey be a Committee in the Recess of the Court to Write
