By the Lower House of Assembly 25.th Sept.r 1765.
May it please Your Honours
This House hath Resolved that the Sum of five hundred Pounds
Current Money be paid by the Treasurer of the Western Shore into
the Hands of Will.m Murdock, Edw.d Tilghman and Thomas Ring-
gold Esq.rs (Committees appointed by this House to meet the Com-
mittees from the Houses of Representatives or Burgesses of the
several British Colonies on this Continent at the City of New York
on the first Tuesday of October next to consult together on the
present Circumstances of the Colonies and the Difficulties to which
they are and must be reduced by the Operation of the late Acts of
Parliament for Levying Duties and Taxes on the Colonies and to
consider of a General and United Dutiful Loyal and humble Repre-
sentation of their Condition to His Majesty and the Parliament, and
to implore Relief) to be applyed by them in and towards the Ex-
pences attendant thereon, and if they shall Expend more Money in
that Service that they be repaid in the first Application of Publick
Money hereafter, and if the whole shall not be expended what may
remain to be returned into the Hands of the said Treasurer And this
House Proposes that the said Sum of Money be so paid and applyed
by way of Ordinance in which We request Your Honours Con-
currence.
