Money taken out of it by the Act of Encouragement for Able Bodied
Freemen voluntarilly enlisting into His Majestys Service for the
Expedition against Cuba which was to have been replaced by Public
Assessment & on the Act passed in Septem:^r 1756 for the En-
couragement of Jonas Green due

Your Committee have also examined the Returns and Payments
of the several Officers & Collectors of the Funds under the [1756]
Act for Granting a supply of £40,000 for his Majestys Service &
striking £34,105..6..0 thereof in Bills of Credit, & raising a Fund for
sinking same and finds the following Deficience Viz.^t
The Collector of the Excise in Baltimore County has rendered
no Accounts or paid any Money for Excise on Liquors from the
25^th March 1763 to the Expiration of that Law, nor did he collect
more than £10..11..1 for the Half Year next preceding the said
County.
And the Sheriff of Prince Georges County has not accounted for
the Batchelors Tax for the year 1763. The Collectors of the Land
Tax of Frederic County has not paid the last years Land Tax
ending September 29..^th 1763 nor the Collector of the said Tax for
Queen Anns County the last Half Year Land Tax ending September
29..^th 1763 which is £73.. 1 2.. 2 by Account lodged in the Office. The
Collector of Excise for Kent County has rendered no Account or
paid any Money for Excise from March 25:^th 1759 to November
in that Year, or for Wheel Carriages in 1757.
The Sheriff of Calvert County owes the Batchelors Tax for 1759.
The Sheriff and Collector of the Excise and Land Tax of Caecil
County, has rendered no Accounts or paid any Money for the Wheel
Carriages in 1755 & 1756 or for Billiard Tables and Batchelors Tax
in 1756 & 1757 or for Excise & Land Tax from June 1756 to
Nov.^r 1757
