by the several Naval Officers, by Virtue of the Act passed in the
Session of Assembly in October 1763 to sink the Paper Bills of
Credit to them brought in, & since June 7:th 1764; The Trustees in
London have rendered no Account so that we cannot exactly ascer-
tain what the Balance now due to the Province may be. Your
Committee also find by the Naval Officers Accounts that the sum
of £848..9..9.. hath been remitted to the Trustees in London by the
said Naval Officers for Duties received before the 1:st Day of
November 1763 which Sum is yet to be accounted for by the said
Trustees.
Your Committee having during the present Session counted &
burn't the sum of £35,719.. 4..6 being the Whole of the Money yet
brought in to be sunk, also £1920 appropriated for scalps & never
emitted, & Likewise £20,557..8..6 out of Iron Chests N:os 1 & 2,
and there appears a Balance due, by the Books of the Office, in the
said Chest in Gold & Silver the sum of £11,557.. 13...10 3/4, on weighing
& Counting of which, we find £10,108..18..7 in Gold and £1464.. 15:
11 in Silver, & Bills of Exch:ge for £142..0..11 Ster.l paid in by the
Agents, & of Nine Pence half penny by Richd Lee Esq.r Naval
Officer of Potowmac, as p the following Accounts more fully appears
