mentioned.
A Bill by Mess.rs Ward and Ware entitled an Act to aid defective
[common] Recoveries.
A Bill by Mess.rs Dye & Gibson entitled a Supplementary Act to
the Act entitled an Act relating to the Standard of English Weights
and Measures.
These four Bills read the first and second Time in the Lower
House & will pass.
Read the first Time in this House and ordered to lye on the Table.
A Bill by Mess.rs Allen & Sullivane entitled an Act to repeal the
Act entitled an Act for the Encouragement of such Persons as will
undertake to build Water-mills, endorsed

Read the second Time the Bill entitled an Act to aid & revive the
Proceedings of Cecil County Court and will pass so endorsed.
Read the second Time the Bill entitled an Act to impower Mary
Covington Administratrix of Philip Covington late of Somerset
County Deceased to sell & dispose of the Lands of the said Philip
for the Purposes therein mentioned & will pass, so endorsed
These two Bills sent by Daniel Dulany Esquire as also the Bill
entitled an Act to prevent the Mischiefs arising from the Multiplicity
of useless Dogs and for other Purposes therein mentioned together
with the following Message.

Gentlemen
You having proposed to take off the Duty imposed on the Clerk
by the Bill, and our Amendments having been made only in Conse-
quence of that Duty, we are willing to give it up upon the Bill's
being varied according to your last Proposition.
