(4^th) In the 14^th Line of the first Page leave out the Words
"which Owner or Keeper of Dogs" and insert in the Place thereof
the following Words Viz.^t "and the Person or Persons liable to the
Payment of the sums of Money."
(5^th) In the 16:^th Line of the first Page strike out the Words,
"Ex-Officio" & after the Words Viz^t "for making out of which Copy
as aforesaid the said Clerk's shall be allowed such a Sum of Money
as the Justices at the said November Court shall think proper to be
paid by the respective Sheriffs out of the Monies which shall be by
them collected & levied in virtue of this Act.
(6^th) In the 18 Line of the first Page after the Word "Dogs"
add the following Words Viz^t "or hath or have permitted or suffered
the same to be kept as aforesaid"
(7) In the 5^th Line of the second page, strike out the Word
"Adjacent" & insert in the place thereof the Word "Neighbouring"
& after the Word "Credit" in the same Line add the following

Words Viz.^t "not being related to the Person or Persons injured."
(8^th) In the 13.^th Line of the 2^d Page after the Word "aforesaid"
add the following Words Viz:^t "Whose Certificate shall be deemed
& held to be sufficient Evidence of the Fact certified as aforesaid"
(9^th) In the 14^th Line of the 2^d Page after the Word "Court"
add the following Words Viz.^t "of the County"
(10.^th) In the 15.^th Line of the 2^d Page after the Word "done"
add the following Words Viz^t "if the Owner or Possessor aforesaid
shall not reside within this Province and in another County if He
or She shall reside in another County before a single Justice of the
County wherein He or She shall reside if Fifty Shillings or under
or if above that Sum in the County Court of the County wherein
the said Owner or Possessor shall reside"
(11^th) In the last Line of the second Page after the Word
"Worrying" add the following Words "or running after & pursuing"
(12^th) In the 16^th Line of the 3^d page after the Word "aforesaid"
add the following Words Viz^t "after Deduction of their Salary &
Commission and of the Sum which shall or may be allowed to the
Clerks as aforesaid"
(13^th) In the third Line of the last Page strike out the Words
"To the City of Annapolis nor"

(14^th) After the last Proviso in the last Page insert the following
Clause. "And be it enacted by the Authority aforesaid that in Case
any Master or Mistress or any other Head of a Family shall give
into the Constable any Dog or Dogs not in Fact belonging to or
kept for the proper Use or Convenience of such Master, Mistress or
other Head of a Family in order to & for the Purpose of evading the
Tax aforesaid intended to be imposed by this Act upon Dogs owned
