A Supplementary Act to the Act entituled an Act for amending the
Staple of Tobacco for preventing Fraunds in his Majesty's Cus-
toms and for the Limitation of Officers Fees

[Preamble]

It being represented by the Petition of Sundry Inhabitants of
Talbot County to this General Assembly that it appears difficult
to get two Inspectors to Serve this present year at Bruffs Ware house
on Saint Michaels River in the County aforesaid, and being prayed
that an Act may pass to enable the present Inspector to do all the
duties required by Law and that such Addition be made to his Salary
as to this Present General Assembly shall seem meet

Be it therefore Enacted by the Right Honourable the Lord Pro-
prietary by and with the advice and consent of his Lordships Gov-
ernor and the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly and the

Authority of the Same, That the Present Inspector at the said Warp

House shall be under the same duties, Obligations Restrictions and
Penalties and enjoy the Same Privileges that other Inspectors do
and are under by the above recited Act And that all Tobacco carried
to the Same Warehouse and the Notes for the Same shall be good
and Negotiable and upon the Same Terms and under the Securities
that all Tobacco and Notes are mentioned to be by the said recited
Act, and that the same Warehouse and the owner or owners of the
Same shall be under the like Incumbrances and receive the like
Benefits and Advantages that other such Warehouses and Owners
are under and do receive by the said Recited Act.

Be it further Enacted that there shall be allowed the said Inspector
in the Same manner that the Salaries are allowed to other Inspectors
by the said recited Act the Quantity of Seven thousand Pounds
of Tobacco as his Salary and no more, And in Case of the Death
refusal or Removal of the said Inspector the Governor or Commander
in Chief for the time being shall and may Nominate and Appoint
any other Person mentioned in the last recommendation of the Vestry
and Church Wardens and in like manner as often as any such
Vacancy shall happen

And be it enacted that in Case of the Sickness or other inability
of the said Inspector to attend his duty it shall any may be Lawfull
for him and he is hereby required to Nominate and Appoint one
