All which Sums of Money to be paid in Dollars at 7/6
Ou Reading the Second Time the Memorial of William Lynn of
Frederick County and on Consideraton of the Same the House
allowed him £60 to be paid in the same Manner as the before men-
tioned Officers are directed to be paid
The House adjourns 'till the Morrow Morning at 9 of the Clock

The House met
John Ridout Esq.r from the Upper House delivers to Mr Speaker
the following Message Viz
By the Upper House of Assembly Dec.r 19.th 1765
Gentlemen
The General Question between us is whether the Clerk of the
Council for his Services to the public shall be allowed in the Journal
the Annual Salary of 9600lb of Tobo payable at the Rate of 12s :6d p
Cent hitherto always claimed of and paid by the Public in every
former Journal regulated and assented by all the Branches of the
Legislature Or whether he shall be allowed Nothing in the Journal
for his Services to the Public [The message beginning thus is
printed in full in the Upper House journal, pp. 97-110]

Which was read and Ordered to lie on the Table
Daniel Dulany and John Ridout Esq.rs from the Upper House
acquaint Mr Speaker that the Governor requires the Attendance of
the Members of the lower House immediately in the Upper House
Mr Speaker left the Chair and (with the rest of the Members of
the Lower House) went to the Upper House where he presented to
his Excllency the Governor the following Ingrossed Bills Viz
N.o 1 An Ingrossed Bill Entitled a Supplementary Act to the Act
Entitled an Act relating to the Standard of English Weights and
Measures
2 An Ing.d Bill entitled an Act for the further Enlargement of
Baltimore Town in Balt County
3 An Ing.d Bill entitled a Supplementary Act to the Act ent.d an
Act ascertaining what Damages shall be allowed upon protested Bills
of Exchange
4 An Ing.d Bill Ent.d an Act to enable the Justices of S.t Mary's
County Court to assess and levy on the Taxable Inhabitants of S.t
Andrews Parish a Qty of Tobo for Building a Church and for other
purposes therein mentioned
5 An Ing.d Bill Ent.d an Act to enable the Justices of S.t Mary's
County Court to assess and levy on the Taxable Inhitants of all
