such as the other Houses of Representatives or Burgesses in the
several Colonies may think fit to Appoint to meet them and the
Committee of the House of Representatives of this Province are
Directed to repair to said New York on the first Tuesday of October
next Accordingly
If therefore your Honourable House should Agree to this Proposal
it would be Acceptable that as early Notice of it as possible might be
Transmitted to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of this
Province Sam :' White Speaker
To The Honourable the Speaker of
the House of Burgesses in the Province
of Maryland

Were delivered to M.r Speaker by the hands of M.r Jonas Green
late Deputy Post Master and M :r Anthony Steuart Deputy Post
Master of the City of Annapolis which Letters were read and Or-
dered to lye on the Table
On Motion made by Col:o Tilghman Resolved that this House
will take into Consideration on the morrow Morning the Letters and
Papers above mentioned
The House Adjourns till the Morrow Morning at 8 of the Clock

Sept. 24

Tuesday 24:th September 1 765
The House met According to Adjournment

The Members were Called, and all Appeared as Yesterday the
proceedings were read
Col:o Nicholas Hyland a Delegate returned for Caecil County, John
Hammond Esq :r a Delegate returned for Ann Arundel County, and
M.r Corbin Lee a Delegate returned for Baltimore County Appeared
in the House
Ordered that M.r Worthington M:r John Hall and M.r Ward do
go with those Gentlemen to the Upper House to see them qualified
they return and Acquaint M.r Speaker that the Gentlemen were
qualified in the usual manner by taking the several Oaths to the
Government required by Law by Subscribing the Oath of Abjura-
tion repeating and Signing the Test
The Gentlemen took their Seats in the House
On Motion Ordered that M.r Speaker do Issue his Warrant
directed to the Deputy Secretary of this Province to make out a
New Writ of Election directed to the Mayor Recorder and Aldermen
of the City of Annapolis to Elect a Delegate to Serve in the General
Assembly of this Province now Sitting in the Room of Walter
Dulany Esq.r who since the last Election hath Accepted the Office
