The Letter to Charles Garth Esq.r being again read
On Motion of M.r Worthington Ordered that Col.o Tilghman W.m
Murdock Thomas Ringgold J. Hollyday and Daniel Wolstenholme
Esq.rs and M.r Grahame be appointed a Committee to draw
proper Instructions to be transmitted by the Speaker to the said Cha.s
Garth Esq.r with a Copy of the Address to his Majesty and the
Memorial and Petition to the Lords and Commons in Parliament
and to advise him of the Concurrence of this House with the Pro-
ceedings of the Congress at New York
Thomas Ringgold Esq.r brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker a
Bill Entituled An Act for the Building a Vestry House at S.t Pauls
Church in Kent County which was read the first Time and Ordered
to lye on the Table
George Plater Esq.r brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker A Bill
Entituled An Act for the preservation of the Breed of Fish and
other purposes therein mentioned which was read the first Time
and Ordered to lye on the Table
George Plater Esq.r brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker A Bill
Entitled An Act to enable the Justices of S.t Mary's County Court to
assess and levy on the Taxable Inhitants of S.t Andrews Parish a
Quantity of Tobacco for Building a Church and for other purposes
therein mentioned And a Bill Entitled an Act to enable the Justices
of S.t Mary's County Court to assess and levy on the Taxable
Inhitants of All Faiths parish a Qty of Tob.o and for other purposes
therein mentioned which said Bills were severally read the first Time
and Ordered to lye on the Table
The Bill Entitled An Act for the more speedy Foreclosure of
Mtges was read the second Time and will not pass
On Reading the Amendments proposed by the Upper House to
the Bill Entitled An Act for the Benefit of the Poor & Encourage-
ment of Industry this House doth not agree thereto
Ordered that a Message be prepared and sent to the Upper House
signifying the same And that Col.o Tilghman and Tho.s Ringgold
Esq.r do bring in a Message accordingly
