Samuel Wilson Esq.r brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker A Bill
Entituled An Act to empower Mary Covington Admix of Philip
Covington late of Somerset County dece'd to sell and dispose of the
Lands of the said Philip for the purposes therein mentioned which
was read the first Time and Ordered to ly on the Table
The House adjourns till two of the Clock

On Reading the Amendments proposed by the Upper House to the
Bill Entituled An Act for the Relief of several languishing Prisoners
in the Goals therein mentioned this House doth not concur with
the second Amendment
Ordered that a Message be sent to the Upper House acquainting
them therewith and that J. Hollyday Esq.r and Col.o Tilghman do
prepare and bring in the same
Benedict Calvert Esq.r from the Upper House delivers to Mr
Speaker the following Message Viz

Gentlemen
We return you the Bill Entituled An Act for the speedy Payment
of sundry Persons several Sums of Money allowed to them on
Account of the late War as Negative because we think that there are
other persons equally entitled to Satisfaction from the public who
ought to be considered at the same Time with those who are favoured
by the above Bill
