Ordered that M.r J. Goldsborough and J. Hollyday Esq.r do pre-
pare and bring in a Bill for that purpose
On Reading the petition of Cornelius Howard of Baltimore
County Leave is given to the Petitioner to bring in a Bill according
to Prayer
The petition of the Rector Vestrymen Church Wardens and
Protestant Inhabitants of All Faiths Parish in St Mary's County
praying Leave to have a Quantity of Tobacco to be levied on the
Taxable Inhabitants in not less than three Years and for other
purposes therein mentioned was read and granted
Ordered that Edmund Key Daniel Wolstenholme George Plater
Esq.rs and M.r Sothoron do prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly
Dan.l Dulany Esq.r from the Upper House delivers to Mr Speaker
the Bill Entituled an Act to prevent the Mischiefs arising from the

Multiplicity of Useless Dogs and for other purposes therein men-
tioned, Indorsed By the Upper House of Assembly 23.d Nov.r 1765
Read the second Time and will pass with the Amendments annexed

And the following Amendments Viz
1.st Leave out the Preamble [These 14 Amendments which then
follow are printed in the Upper House journal, pp. 55-57]
And the Bill Entituled an Act to repeal the Act Entituled an Act
for the Encouragement of such persons as will undertake to build
Water Mills Indorsed
By the Upper House of Assembly 22.d Nov. 1765 Read the first
Time and ordered to lye on the Table and thus By the Upper House
of Assembly 23 Nov. 1765. Read the second Time and will pass.

in the Petition of Ann Ogle Benjamin Tasker Esq.r and John
