On Motion Col.o Lloyd M.r R. Goldsborough M.r Sothoron &
Capt.n Winder have Leave of Absence
The Bill Entituled a Supplementary Act to the Act Entituled An
Act for the Limitation of certain Actions for Avoiding Suits at
Law was read the second Time and will pass and was sent to the
Upper House by Mr Grahame and Mr Bealle
The House adjourns 'till two of the Clock

P.M.

The House met
The Bill Entituled An Act for the more Speedy Foreclosure of
Mortgages was read the second Time and committed for Amend-
ments

On Motion Ordered that M.r Grahame & M.r Beall be added to
the Committee appointed to enquire into the Allegations & Facts
contained in the petition of Joshua Bealle and Capt.n Ware and in
the petition of Rezin Bealle and in the petition of Barton Lucas
The House adjourns 'till the Morrow Morning at 9 of the Clock

The Bill Entituled an Act for the speedy Payment of Sundry
persons several Sums of Money allowed to them on Account of the
late War was read the second Time and committed for Amendments
The Petition of Thomas Schley and Jeremiah Myar and the
petition of Thomas Schley were severally read the second Time and
thereupon Ordered that Mr Chapline M.r Gantt M.r Johnson and
M.r Bealle be appointed a Committee to enquire into the Allegations
and Facts contained in the Said petitions and Report the same to the
House

On Reading the second Time the Report on the Petition of Mary
Covington made by the Committee appointed for that Purpose
And the petition being read a Second Time on Consideration
thereof the same was granted and Leave given to the Petitioner to
bring in a Bill according to prayer
The Petition of Henry Troth of Talbot County praying Leave
to have a main Road to the Ferry which he keeps over Choptank
Ferry [sic] was read and granted
