On Motion that a Committee be appointed to report to the House
their Opinion what will be the best Way of disposing of the public
Money in the Treasury and the paper Currency Office belonging to
the Country and of the Capital Bank Stock that will belong to the
Country after Payment to all the private Proprietors of the Paper
Bills of Credit and also of the best Method to support the Trade and
Commerce of this province at this Time when Specie is so scarce
amongst us
Ordered that Thomas Ringgold and Daniel Wolstenholme Esq.rs
M.r Grahame Col.o Tilghman Tho.s Johnson James Hollyday and
John Hammond Esq.rs be a Committee appointed for that purpose
and that they make Report thereof to the House
On Reading the Second Time the petition of the Rector Vestry-
men Church wardens and parishoners of S.t James's parish in Ann
Arundel County the same was granted
Ordered that M.r Johnson M.r H. Hall M.r Hammond & M.r
Worthington do prepare & bring in a Bill according to the peti-
tioners prayer
The Bill Entituled an Act for the Tryal of all Matters of Fact
in the several Counties where they have arisen or shall arise was
read the second Time and will pass and was sent to the Upper
House by Col.o Lloyd and Mr Dent
The House adjourns till 2 of the Clock p. M.
The House met
Col.o Travers and M.r Parran appeared in the House

On Motion Henry Hollyday Esq.r hath Leave of Absence
On Reading the second Time the Bill Entituled An Act to prevent
the Mischiefs arising from the Multiplicity of Useless Dogs and for
other purposes therein mentioned
The Question was put that the said Bill do pass
